Do you ever find youself agreeing with people who say change is so hard for people? If so you may be reflecting a need for a shift in your leadership approach.
Change is the opportunity for leaders to lift the hearts of people toward the possibilities of greater things. But leaders that only communicate the facts of a situation never offer sufficient reason for changing. Information simply provides more reasons to deepen negative attitudes.
Motivating people to change calls for helping people to find a change of heart, a shift, to a new greater purpose. And, as ANE leaders, we agree that the way we manage our inner beliefs, our essential core, has everything to do with why people choose to follow us. Without a genuine commitment to grow ourselves, there can be no lasting commitment to change by our followers. Our joyful and grateful journey of growth is infectious.
Remember this week that it is your inner light, energy, power, gratitude, compassion, truth..... that help people feel they can safely grow with you. Take this idea into your meetings, with your customers, with everyone you meet. And if someone tells you change is hard, don't agree.
