It's the power we give to our circumstances that largely determines the course we end up taking. If we see our situation as lacking or threatening, we make fear-based decisions that always narrow our pathway forward. If we look at our circumstances from the position of sincerely wanting what is best, we power our decisions with a sense of greater possibility that broadens our pathway. It's the leader's choice. And in the modern workplace it can be very challenging indeed, especially when one's entire team is reacting fearfully to change.
"Do we always try to get to the facts, no matter how we feel?"
The grounded ANE leader seeks the truth of situations without reacting. We know that when it starts feeling like external things are drying up, fearful decision making can follow. So, instead, we first focus on our inner circumstances, our spiritual core, where we find unquenchable and unlimited power. This never fails to give us the calm, confident, connected sense of balance we need to face reality and make good decisions.
Staying grounded means making choices: Whatever my circumstances I choose to know that I am in safe hands. I do not let my fear turn me away from knowing and sharing the truth. I will take the inner actions that help me to place knowledge of the facts above emotion and blame.
"We always get to the facts whatever we feel."
