Growth is the principle that drives all our leadership. It focuses our energy toward the career stage ahead, the improved team performance, and all our life goals. It is indeed a truly motivating concept, but there are two common misconceptions.
The first is not seeing that growth is continuous - we can't leap ahead to next month's growth without first achieving this month's starting from where we are now.
The second misconception is most relevant to us as ANE leaders. It is not realizing that the growth we experience is a direct reflection of the expansion of our own inner core, our spiritual center. Growth outside of us is the consequence of recognizing and expressing more of the treasures within us, treasures that are ours already.
"It's not cramming more good in me, but getting more of my good out."
Growth means making unique personal commitments: I am committed to a journey of endless learning. I choose to let every circumstance expand my spirit for the benefit of all those I will ever serve. I choose to see the deeper joy of growth everywhere, especially in my colleagues.
"We always succeed when we are learning something new."
