Connected, Confident, Calm
Remembering you have a spiritual center can be challenging but appreciating the same in others can be even tougher. There's a real tendency to become conditioned by what we think people lack or can't do, especially in competitive cultures.
Do people respond better or worse when we see them as lacking? Think of an experience when a new person came into your organization. Did people tend to see and share the lack of fit? That's the cultural antibodies joining up to reject the interloper. As an ANE Leader, your intentional spiritual practices are the antidote.
This week, when you talk with people, especially newcomers, first, find your own appreciation that they, too, have an amazing spiritual center seeking to express the greatest good. Then, take a few moments to help them express it in their unique way.
Spiritual connection trumps cultural rejection every time.
