Historically in ANE, we have spoken of Engagers and Disengagers. As individuals and with leading others, it is important to look at those actions that engage you/your workforce or disengage you/your workforce. Last week’s message and call addressed the need to be mindful of reaching out to others with gestures; this week, let’s focus on the critical process of engagement.

In 2 Corinthians, “As God’s fellow workers we urge you not to receive God’s grace in vain.”  As the verse continues, the Lord indicates that in good times he is there to celebrate and in hard times will be supportive. A strong inference can be made that you must be intentional to create the space for God to be present at the beginning, middle, and end of your day.

Are you slamming on the brakes (disengaging) by finding fault, lack of recognition, unrealistic accountability, or debilitating your self-confidence? Or are you accelerating (engaging) by Intentional actions that will allow you to connect better to your core and your workforce. For those of you who have the Engagement card, revisit it; otherwise join the call on Wednesday to find out what is working for others. Religious words in the work place are not mandatory for great results, but intentional actions will get you there faster and usually with much greater satisfaction.
