Well it is not that simple.
It is all about preparation with intensity and intention. Those determine the quality of the time spent in prayer, devotion, reflection study or exercise.
Mind or soul--if we are not deliberate and consistent with clear purpose, then that time becomes routine, or we drift in to habit which drives to complacency. It will not provide the strength we seek.
I recently heard a coach speak of practice in that manner. The intensity of your practice he said determines the value of that practice. What does that mean I thought. So we sat and discussed the thinking. Practice is preparation for the real world game. You put on display what you have honed in the privacy of preparation. So……… if you are casual in that training, you will fail in the heat of the competition.
The time we spend building our core, sharpening our edge, will determine how we perform in the business setting, with our friends, with our families, and as leaders--in all walks of life.
I encourage you to prepare with intensity, focus, and purpose, so that your core values will be ready when the game begins.
This is the path to be a Calm, Confident, and Connected Leader
