In ancient tradition, St. Bernard taught of the three comings of Christ. The first is the promise, Christ entering the world with a human nature coming to seek out and save that which was lost. The third is the final, the fulfillment of the promise, the Advent that brings him again to judge the living and the dead. The second coming of Christ being present in our souls, his passage not only through the world, but through our lives. In this retreat we will meditate on these three comings as The End of Time and the Eternal Now: Comfort, Comfort My People; and The Unconquered Sun.
