I am the sole paid employee of a national grassroots / netroots organization, the Alternatives to Marriage Project www.unmarried.org.  My volunteer needs include:
+ small groups of any age to stuff envelopes in Park Slope, Brooklyn about 4 times per year
+ one or two leaders to join the national Board of Directors
+ people with unlimited (or lots of unused) long-distance phone plans to be part of our national get-out-the-vote phone bank
+ pro bono consultants on media relations, policy analysis, and building a web presence
+ a blog manager / monitor
