I. Ensure that you are securly connected to SureFiles

Before you begin insure your Secure Connection to SureFiles is connected.  To determine your connection is established you will see the following "lock icon" in your taskbar:

If you do not see this icon, double-click on the Citrix Access Gateway lock icon on your desktop and log in.  If there is no icon on your desktop please follow the instruction on setting up your secure conection to SureFiles.

Mapping you SureFiles Drive

1.  Open "My Computer" from your "Start Menu->My Computer" or by using your "Windows + E" key shortcut.

2.  Cick on your "Tools" menu and select "Map Network Drive..."

3.  SureTech.com has set up two different drives you will map to.  First is a Corporate Drive and second is your own Personal Drive.  The Corporate drive contains folders for different departments in your organization such as Finance, HR, Technology etc...  Your Personal drive is empty by default but allows you to create folders and files as you wish.  For simplicity and consistancay we recommend that you use the drive letters "S" and "P" for these drives.  S stands for "Shared" and  and P stands fir "Personal", however you may use any available letter if these drive letters are already mapped to a different location.

Mapping your Corporate drive 

     1.  Select the "S:" from the drop-down for your drive letter.  ...

1.  Click this link to download the Citrix VPN plugin.

2.  Enter your User Name and Password* and clck the "Log On".

3.  On the next page select click the lock icon.  This will begin the installiation process.

4. Select "Run" when you are presented with the following dialog:

5.  Accept the "Citrix Software Terms and Conditions of Use".

6.  Citrix Client Access will begin to install.  When The install is finished you will see the following notification in the lower right-hand corner of your screen.

7. If (and it probably won't)the client prompts you with the following error message: Type key.suretech.com (Press Enter).

 * If you do not have your User Name or Password please contact your Account Administrator.

After you successfully connect to SureFiles please click here for instructions on how to map your shared drives.

Attention Payment Management Employees and Sales Reps.  We have decided to roll back the IMAP mail migration to our origional Exchange.  Please do not make any changes to your current configuration. 

I. Changing your default password.

1. Ensure you have received your default password, incoming and outgoing mail server from your organization's contact.
2. Log into your webmail account by clicking here and providing your username@domain and default password.  Note: if your website is not hosted by SureTech.com your username@domain will be in the form of username@xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx  Your Account Manager will provide you with that information. For example, Payment Management users will use username@66.39.77.103 as their username and their default password.
3. Click on the "Options" link. 

 4.  Click on the "Change Your Password"

5. Fill in your current password, new password and verify your new password in form provided and click the "Change Password" button.   (note: passwords are case sensitive)

 II.  Setting up your IMAP Account with Outlook 2007

1.  Open Outlook and Select Tools->Account Settings from the main menu.

2.  Select "New" from the "Account Settings" window.

3.  In the new "Add New E-mail Account" window, insure that "Microsoft Exchange, Pop3, IMAP, or HTTP" radio button is selected and click "Next"

4. Select the "Manually configure ...

4.     On the next screen, enter your email address, and then your UPN Login ID.  This is the login ID that looks like an email address (with an @ sign).  This is the same ID that you would use to log into Outlook or Outlook Web Access.  You can also use the old format if you know your NT4 login ID, by typing in ENOMIA\username, where username is your NT4 ID (in Entourage, the NT4 ID is what you place in the account field).

 
The Description field (not shown) is arbitrary, and can be left as-is.  After filling out the information, tap Next.

NOTE: If you have a wildcard set up in your DNS settings, you may see the following error:

This isnt a problem just tap Accept and you wont see the error again.

5.     A new field for Server will pop up on the screen.  For this, enter outlook.suretech.com, and tap Next

Part 1 - Creating a new Profile

1.  Click the Start button choose Control Panel, and on the left-hand pane, click Classic View.  Then choose Mail from the list of options:

3.  Next, you will come to the following screen, which may or may not have a pre-existing profile.  Either way, click Add:

Part 2 - Configuring Your Account

1.  If you are setting up Outlook 2007 for the first time, you will see the following two screens; click Next on the Outlook 2007 Startup screen, and then answer Yes to the question of whether youd like to set up an email account.  If youve used Outlook 2007 before, youll jump straight to the screen in step 2.

2.  This next screen is entitled Auto Account Setup.  Here, youll want to enter your name and your email address, and then click Next.

3.  You'll see the following screen for a few moments:

(2)   Click the Find User button.

(3)   Enter the first few letters of the name of the person whose folder you want to open, and click Find.

(4)   Highlight the persons name, and click Advanced

(5)   Here, you need to modify the name of the Exchange server.  It defaults to mail.thoughtbus.com, which youll want to replace with https://outlook.suretech.com/exchange/ {The email address of the person whose calendar you are opening}.  Or, if you are not using SSL, use http://... instead of https://....

Example:

John.Smith@abc.com has granted Mary.Smith@abc.com permissions to his calendar folder.  In order to view it, Mary must follow the steps above, and at step 5, she will enter https://outlook.suretech.com/exchange/john.smith@abc.com as her Exchange server name.

Hit the OK button to get out of the Advanced screen, and then hit it again to get back to your original screen.

(6)   Choose the type of folder youd like to open, and hit OK.

(7)   You will now see the desired folder in your Views.

Once you click the Options button, youll see the following screen, on the left side of which is the Change Password option.  Click this, and youll see an area where youre prompted for your old and new passwords:

Once youve filled in these fields, click Save, and you should be all set.

1. Call conference only works with 3 way calling on hard phones.  Soft phones can reportedly handle up to 10 simultaneous calls
2. Currently it is not possible to automatically hit dial and successfully call a number from the Caller ID list - these must be redialed manually.
   

Key Training Issues

1. BUTTONS DO NOT DIAL AS YOU PUSH THEM:
   • Its almost like email: when you enter a phone number the system then SENDS the phone number to connect you. 
   • The phones are sensitive to the TIMING of your pushing the buttons.  Dialing 3 or 4 digits and then pausing can result in a failed cal.  
   • To control this you can change the delay before dialing preferences setting.

If you want a lot of people to come it helps to have lots of people inviting people to  your event. 

There are two key elements to this:

• get a diverse group to act as hosts
• make sure everyone hosting has ownership over the event

Getting a Diverse Host Committee

It is ideal to collect hosts that are spread among the demographics of your constituency.  If you share Hosting duties with only your best friends, then you are less likely to reach into areas of your constituency where you may not already have as strong relationships.

• defining a mission for your event
• the diversity of your host committee (age, vocation, socioeconomic)
