"Where do I get started on actually applying ANE ideas to my job?" someone asked this week.
"With a prayer or affirmation," is what many ANE people say. In whatever way fits your spiritual background, this way of connecting to one's spiritual core at work really helps.
I should add, as one who used to pray only under direst circumstances ("Please God make this go away, right now,") that this is praying from a more detached perspective on many more occasions ("Show me the pathways that better serve the greatest good.")
Here's a real example from an ANE Leader in UK.
"I tried an impromptu adaptation of your website prayer last week when making our first sales presentation to a management team in London. It really helped me get over that feeling that I was an outsider who'd been brought in to just write and make the presentation for them to use. It got me very calm and focused before I started presenting, which was a great feeling and allowed me to concentrate on what I was saying, rather than being concerned about how I was coming across. Anyway, we've got through to the final stage now so I feel it worked."
Lift all your leadership moments with prayer this week. If you don't know what to say, try the workplace prayer we hand out at our events. It's at our website under ANE Stuff.
