"What happens on Monday is nothing like what happens on Sunday," said a business associate, referring to attending her place of worship. "At my job, it's practical and about the facts, not spiritual. Plus, if I'm that nice to people at work, you can bet they'll try to take advantage of me."
"No way," I objected. "Sunday is all about Monday. Thinking that our spirituality only comes into the world in one place limits opportunity and avoids our responsibility to be the best leader we can be."
Nothing is as practical as spirituality. Nothing is as practical as prayer, affirmation, or meditation, or keeping ourselves centered before and during meetings, or avoiding yes-buts, or building people up rather than putting them down.
Being a Fully Present Leader calls for action, spiritual action.
