Stress crowds out our willingness to engage our deeper selves at work. So we miss the opportunity to really listen to people around us. It's not that we don't want to solve problems quickly and gain more confidence and loyalty. It's just that the busyness vortex drains our attentiveness.
There's a very helpful mental shift you can do at the very moment you realize communication needs to improve. Picture who you are with as having an inner spiritual core and, like your inner core, it wants to express greater good right at that moment. Immediately your focus moves. "It's not about me, it's about you." Your energy, enthusiasm and equilibrium changes rapidly. More productive conversation pathways then open up. Try it. It works!
Take your listening to a whole new spiritual level. At our November 1st and 2nd Summit in Princeton we will be learning how to read and listen with the total engagement of our inner core.
