How many times a week do you use your GPS to get to a new location, navigate an unfamiliar city, find a restaurant, or even reroute around an unexpected traffic jam? For most of us, the answer is quite often and without it I would be just lost.
Global Positioning System or “God Positioning System” is an important question to ask?
“…He restores my soul. He guides me in paths of righteousness for his name’s sake”
Psalms 23:3
As ANE leaders we intentionally work to set our internal GPS to the appropriate Divine magnetic North. Last Sunday, Rev. Bonwell shared compelling scriptural evidence that God's work begins every evening and when we awake in the morning, each of us is joining the path that He has already laid. Consequently, Terry Herring shared the importance of how to integrate practices and other people to make sure that your path is maintained. And for our purposes today, let’s consider those actions as “calibrating” your GPS.
Many of you celebrate Holy Week this week; may your experiences be enriching from Maundy Thursday to Good Friday through Easter. Holy Week offers depth and despair followed by great JOY--neither is possible without the other.
For those not focusing specifically on the Religious Holidays, please use this change of seasons as an important moment of reflection from frozen ground through bountiful spring.
Please consider resetting your GPS this week. As a Leader, consider the obligation that you have to know your internal North and South--only then may you successfully, swiftly, and dynamically lead your organization through the valleys and on to the mountains.
To be “Calm, Confident, and Connected” we believe it involves intentional effort, so please join us for our weekly call on Tuesday morning.
