Business is challenging. Management can be frustrating. And Leadership is certainly demanding.
Most of you reading this post recognize those facts and yet are committed to bring your very best to your role. Collectively “we” invest in our inner core or God to provide direction when the winds are heavy, the skies dump rain, and when the ground is shaking.
Humble: recognizing the collective investments of the team and assigning credit externally when successes are achieved.
Teachable: intentionally seeking guidance on how to improve your performance and increase your impact on those around you.
Aware: understanding that your actions as a leader speak volumes to all in your presence. What you do, how you say it, your gestures, your humor, your attention/inattention to matters in the workplace really do matter to those whom you serve/lead.
When I approach work challenges, brewing management frustrations, and demanding leadership situations with the clear intension of being “humble, teachable, and aware,” most situations are better, much better.
Please join our Tuesday call to share how you have been successful in moving into this framework professionally, as well, you can hear how others leverage their inner core for the perspective necessary to maximize successful growth in the workplace.
