This weekend many people were glued to the TV watching their favorite teams and just great competition to be number 1 in the country. Most days in business we talk about and focus on “the wins.” In 1 Corinthians 13:4 Love is addressed and clearly references not boasting, avoiding self-seeking, not being rude, and not keeping score of the wrongs.
How do we make sense of these vastly different views present in our everyday working lives? Well, many of us just had some practice during Holy Week. The Joy of Easter does not happen without the despair of Good Friday.
In business, we encounter incredible challenges in starting, growing, scaling, maintaining, and even retiring all aspects of our work. If viewed through the basketball prism, it’s clear to see that quarter by quarter, leads change and momentum shifts. Certain players in and others will need to sit on the bench. Some have hot streaks or great plays that befuddle the competition, other times they are stymied.
God does want us to win but that win is at the end of the game. How we play each possession matters individually and as a team. Please join the call on Tuesday morning to talk about the differences in God’s scoring methods and how you can apply those principals to win in your company, and importantly why it matters. Are you GAME?
