As people and leaders, we often ignore those nagging thoughts and feelings. We see some things that bother us but we let them slide .....
Then out of the blue and not so unexpectedly, we get hit up side the head.
We all think we have it covered; we can handle the situation; we are on top of it. Yet we know somewhere inside maybe we need some help; maybe we are not as square as we thought and as we want others to believe. It makes us a weak leader to admit that sort of thing.
Hey, we go to doctors for a check up when we are fine; we definitely see physicians when we are feeling bad....
Why don't we have check ups as leaders--a good old fashioned exam. What can it hurt?
I recently experienced a physical wake up call...made me think, maybe I need a leadership check up, just see what's under the hood.
Let's discuss just how we bring ourselves, indeed humble ourselves, to the idea that maybe we need a leadership "wake up call".
