An ANE Member recently said:
"The energy of ANE people is amazing. Something happens in a room of these leaders, you can feel it."
Just last week ANE members in Europe met on a conference call to help each other on the theme of Staying Calm at Work. See if any of their great suggestions "stick" for you this week.
- Be honest - don't pretend to others that you are in control when you are not
- Speak the truth into each situation - don't mislead ourselves or "catastrophise"
- If challenged hard, look people in the eye and wait... the right response will come.
- If you dont have an answer, quickly think "show me the pathway" - helps to engage spiritually
- If you don't feel passionate enough, talk to someone who fires you up.
- Call or talk to a trusted friend, relation when troubled
- Simply take time and find space away from a situation
- Never respond immediately on email if emotionally engaged but check back, save to draft, reflect, then send later
- Take a meditative walk (no talking, just looking and enjoying)
- Use a pending box - many things do not need immediate response and issues find their own pathway if we leave them for a period of time.
Next European Conference Call is Jan 25th (call information)
Next US Dinner and Speaker Event is Feb 17th in Lambertville, NJ (event information)
