Installing Citrix - Web Panel - Trusted Site - Compatibility Mode - Disconnecting - Citrix Bar
Before using the SureDesk you must install the Citrix receiver on the computer you will be accessing the SureDesk.
Installing on a PC
- Go to the Citrix website at https://citrix.com/products/receiver.
- Click on Download Receiver for Windows.
- Run the Citrix Receiver file that was downloaded
- Click Install and click Next/Continue until it finished
- When it asks for the Server or email address, enter https://so5.suretech.com (You will only need to do this step for the first time)
- It will then ask you for your User ID and Password
- You can pin the Citrix Receiver to your taskbar or create a shortcut. Go to Start Menu>All Programs>find Citrix Receiver>Right Click>Select Pin to Taskbar
- If you prefer, you can rename your Shortcut to SureDesk 5.0 or whatever you prefer. If you need assistance, just email

- We recommend launching your SureDesk from Citrix Receiver for best perfomance, security and access to printers.
- If you want though, you can launch your SureDesk directly from any web browser by going to https://so5.suretech.com.
- Note that HTML 5 does have conflicts with printing, so we recommend connecting from Receiver directly.
- If you choose to connect from web browser, Setup the portal as a trusted site.
Apple Install
- Close all of your apps.
- Open Safari and go to the Citrix website at http://receiver.citrix.com.
- Click on Where can I download Citrix Receiver on other platforms and devices?
- Select Mac.
- Click on Download Receiver for Mac.
- Locate CitrixReceiver.dmg in your Downloads.
- Click on Install Citrix Receiver.pkg.
- Agree to terms of license agreement.
- Click on install to start installation of the Citrix Receiver.
- Enter Apple password you created when setting up your Apple user account (usually done right after purchase of computer.)
- Once the Citrix Receiver is installed go to https://so5.suretech.com/.
- After the information is verified, please enter your log in credentials provided to you in the welcome email.
- Click on Add Apps on the Receiver home page.
- Click on + tab on left side of screen, click on All Applications and select application to add to Receiver home page.
- Once the application is on the home page as a favorite, the application can be launched directly from the receiver.
- Click on the icon and the SureDesk will launch automatically. Once the application opens, it is ready to be used.
- Setup the portal as a trusted site.
