If you need to remove an email account on an Android phone please follow the below steps. Please note these instructions are generic since Android devices are varied and not always alike.

 

To remove an old Exchange account:
This process is required for users upgrading from one Exchange version to another only.
* Note – Data (messages, contacts, etc.) that is synched with Exchange will be erased when you remove the old account but will return when you add your new account. Some data, not synched with Exchange, like notepad and phone signatures, etc. will have to be reproduced after your new account is created.

  1. Go to Settings.
  2. Go to Account Settings.
  3. Touch the old account to be removed.
  4. Press Delete.
